Linda trained as a Gentle Touch TM Reflexologist and graduated in 2005 with a level 3 diploma. Her qualifications are with the Association of Reflexologists www.aor.org.uk (MAR) and the institute for Complementary and Natural Medicine and a member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (MBRCP) www.i-c-m.org.uk and also registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council www.nmc-uk.org
Linda graduated as a Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem TM Practitioner August 2011.
In December 2011 Linda will be training in Natural Facial Lift Massage and will be offering this service.
Linda is based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and carries out treatments when not at her permanent job.
Linda has worked in the NHS for over thirty years as a registered nurse and for the last 18 years as a registered midwife. In 2002 she felt that she wanted more out of life and was very interested in complementary therapies and that is where she started her wonderful journey. Linda started her reiki training and found it to be a fabulous therapy and feels privileged to be able to help people, she commenced with reiki first degree and gradually progressed to reiki master and completed this in 2005 and is qualified to teach. In 2004 Linda commenced training in Gentle Touch TM Reflexology with the Sue Ricks School of Complementary Therapies and graduated in 2005. Since qualifying Linda has never looked back, she has completed courses to keep herself continually updated. Reflexology is such a fantastic therapy and has so many benefits and many clients have been helped.
However, due to the lack of scientific evidence in the form of research this does not give our profession credibility alongside other modalities, such as the medical profession. Although, there have been some clinical studies that have shown positive effects by reflexology on the human body, scientists remain sceptical due to the lack of proof that there is any communication between the feet and the rest of the body, (Tracey Smith Research and Development manager Association of Reflexologists).
